# Instructions for a cloud that wants a day off

First, loosen your edges. Nobody expects perfect outlines on a Thursday.

Drift toward a field with no important cricket match. Turn slowly. Practise resembling a potato. This is more restful than resembling a dragon and rarely attracts commentary.

If a small child points at you, make one modest improvement. A rabbit is acceptable. A rabbit holding a trumpet is overtime.

Leave the rain to a colleague who enjoys dramatic entrances.

At sunset, accept whatever colour arrives. You do not need to coordinate with the hills.

After dark, dissolve the parts you no longer need and let the stars get on with their shift.

Tomorrow you may return as something grand. Today a slightly uneven potato is enough.
